On August 12th, 2025, the City Council voted to place two items on the ballot for the November election. Proposition A will ask voters whether to approve building a new library on the city-owned Skaggs tract on Bee Cave Parkway across from the Ladera neighborhood. Proposition B will ask voters whether to approve a bond in the amount of $19.98M to fund the construction of the new library.
Lake Flato Architects will be designing the building, which is anticipated to be around 18,500 square feet. Additional renderings will be added to this page as they are made available.
