Summer Reading Program

SRP 2025

Color our World June 2nd - July 26th.

Bee Cave Public Library brings you a summer full of free and fun all-ages programming. Our theme this year is “color our world” and we’ll do just that at our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party on Saturday, June 7th from 10-11:30AM. Help bring some color to our library by decorating our sidewalks with your beautiful chalk drawings! We’ll have an all-ages program every Saturday in June and July (excluding July 5th). Spend your Saturdays at a foam party on the lawn, watching a magician, building LEGOs, meeting reptiles, and so much more! We’ll also have age-specific programming during the week for kids, adults, teens, and even babies!

For questions about our Summer Reading Program, please e-mail Melissa Slaughter or call 512.767.6626.

CHILDREN'S READING PROGRAM

Sign up for Summer Reading 2025 and start reading!
Help the library reach our goal of 300,000 minutes read this summer! There are two options to track your reading.

1. READING LOG
Pick up a reading log from the library. Log your minutes. Turn in your log when you come to the library and we'll keep track of your total minutes.

2. BEANSTACK APP
Sign up online for Beanstack. Register an individual or a family and use Beanstack to log your minutes.

Once you've read 250 minutes, pick up your prize book at the library. We'll take your picture and make a poster of you that will hang in the library this summer. Or if you want, you can take a picture anywhere and send it to us at [email protected]. Pick up your copy during library hours.

Each 500 minutes you read earns you a chance to win a prize.

The more you read, the more chances to win!

TEEN AND ADULT READING PROGRAM

Adults and teens 12 and older can sign up on Beanstack to be eligible for prizes. For each book you read and log, you will earn a badge. Each badge earns a virtual ticket you can enter into the drawing of your choice on Beanstack. Prizes include gift cards to restaurants, stores, and more.

The more you read, the more chances to win!

We'll notify you if you're a winner. Please pick up your prizes by August 30th!

A list of prize winners will be available here on July 30. Good luck, readers!
